Compass points and spatial terms: north, south, forward: navigate in Morse.
29 words
Directional words (north, south, east, west, up, down, left, right) are practical Morse vocabulary for maritime navigation, aviation, and orienteering. Maritime CW operators historically sent bearing reports in Morse, and the directional prefixes still appear in standardized weather and traffic alerts. The directions group is short and high-utility: most words are 4 to 5 letters, transmitting in under 3 seconds at 12 WPM. They are also the first words most scouts learn for signaling drills with flashlights or whistles.
