The complete NATO phonetic alphabet used in radio communications worldwide.
26 words
The NATO phonetic alphabet (Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta...) was adopted by ICAO in 1956 and remains the global standard for spelling letters over radio voice channels. While NATO is technically a voice-spelling system, every NATO word also has a Morse code translation, and CW operators learn the NATO alphabet alongside their Morse code skills. The combination is useful for cross-confirmation: pilots, sailors, and ham operators often verify a callsign by sending it in Morse and reading it back in NATO phonetics. This dictionary covers all 26 NATO words with full Morse breakdowns.
