Music vocabulary (rhythm, melody, harmony, treble, bass, piano, guitar, violin) is naturally close to Morse code, which is itself a rhythmic system. Composers including Igor Stravinsky, Karlheinz Stockhausen, and Pierre Schaeffer used Morse patterns directly in musical compositions. Beethoven's Fifth Symphony famously opens with the rhythm dit-dit-dit-dah, which is also the Morse code for the letter V. Today, music Morse appears in band merchandise, musical-jewelry, and tattoo designs honoring favorite songs or instruments.
