Frequently Asked Questions

How do replays and tries work?

You have 20 listens in total. The first listen auto-plays when you open the page. Every 3 listens the playback slows down by 5 WPM, from 40 WPM down to 10 WPM.

What do the colors mean?

Green means the letter is in the right spot. Amber means it's in the word but in the wrong spot. Gray means the letter is not in the word.

Why does the audio get slower?

Slowing down rewards patience and helps your ear catch the harder letters. PARIS-standard timing means a 10 WPM dit is exactly 120 ms, and a dah is 360 ms.
